Kr - Krypton - periodic table of the elements

The rare gas krypton (and neon, xenon and radon.) was extracted by William Ramsey and M. W. Travers from liquid air in 1898. The name krypton means hidden. Known compounds include a hydrate, deuteride and the difluoride. Superman was reportedly from the doomed planet of Krypton (joke).
